MicroSurvey STAR*NET is a professional least-squares adjustment application for survey control networks. It combines and rigorously adjusts conventional and GNSS observations—angles, distances, azimuths/bearings, zeniths, level differences, and GNSS baselines—into consistent 1D (level), 2D (horizontal), or 3D solutions. Data can be entered in a straightforward text format or imported from common instruments via companion translators, making it easy to merge field data from multiple sources.
The software provides flexible constraints and weighting, supports local and geodetic coordinate systems with grid-to-ground scaling, and delivers detailed quality statistics. Network plots with residual vectors and error ellipses help visualize precision, while comprehensive adjustment reports document residuals, standard deviations, and overall network reliability. Built-in tools for sensitivity analysis and outlier detection assist in diagnosing weak geometry or blunders before finalizing coordinates.
STAR*NET is used by land surveyors, geodesists, and civil engineers to validate control, integrate GNSS with total station and leveling data, and produce defensible results for mapping, construction, and monitoring.
MicroSurvey STAR*NET is developed by MicroSurvey Software Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 7.1, 7.2, 8.1 and 8.2. The name of the program executable file is StarNet.exe.
